Alex Snow

The less-than-brilliant inventor / Unqualified medic

Grace Under Fire: Alex naturally blocks out almost all outside interference when focused on something, allowing him to ignore stress, explosions, and screaming people with little trouble. Unfortunately, he probably won't notice anyone trying to get his attention if he's focused on doing his job.

Gadgetry: Alex is fascinated by simple and complex machinery; Everything from weapons to locks interest him, and he is constantly looking for ways to improve or use these things in new ways. This can lead to some rather odd additions to mechanical devices he has regular access to, and they don't always work out the way they should.

It'll probably blow up: Alex has years of 'experience' putting things together in his garage. He also has years of experience watching these things explode in fiery balls of death. He tends to be a little twitchy around new technology, but he's likely to notice if something's about to go terribly wrong with it.

Personal History

Alex Snow was born a US citizen and currently holds a Bachelors degree in applied physics and mechanical engineering. He has a deep and enduring fondness for guns, robots, and putting people back together, all skills he exercises often right before everyone else dies. He came to the attention of the Foundation following an incident involving a weaponized ██████, which was confiscated after much protest. He has since obtained another, supposedly harmless version. Godspeed, Tim. May the dust rise to meet you as you ascend beyond the plane of earthly Roombas.

  • Is absolutely and completely unqualified to be repairing people.
  • Is a competent cook. Prefers 'fast food' or Mexican to anything else, but can cook just about anything. Food only comes in "burn your mouth off spicy" and "normal" varieties. Burgers do not come in "Burn your mouth off".
  • Pushed the big red button and lived. Mostly.
  • During the destruction of Area-354, alex was:
    • Crushed by a tentacle
    • Impaled by random teeth
    • Lit on fire, thrown from an exploding UFO, crashed into the remains of Area-354, and then continued to burn until extinguished by a wet jacket.
      • As a result, Alex has:
        • A neck brace
        • Broken legs
        • One broken arm
        • Lost an incisor
        • Third degree burns in all the wrong places (and all the other, less wrong places)
        • Several cracked ribs
        • A severe concussion
        • A strong distrust of unmarked oversized red buttons, though he doesn't quite remember why.
  • Fortunately he was gassed, so no permanent damage. No scarring, no broken bones, just leukemia (walt is a but). He'll get over it. He feels guilty as all hell about being fixed up when other people couldn't get treated, so he's just looking for more cell gas right now.

Alex is about 6'2 and 140 lbs. He has medium-length black hair when he remembers to cut it, but it's usually covering his nose before he does. Old burn scars mark his arms, and he has a particularly nasty one on his right wrist. He is dreadfully pale from years spent working in dimly lit rooms, and as a result prefers to keep areas he has to spend a lot of time in at low light levels.
