Bill 'Tarik' Smith

Player Name

Bill 'Tarik' Smith

Precision marksman, former gunsmith

And my Fingers to Fight: Bill is a very competent shooter, especially with longarms. Years of F-Class and ELR competitive shooting, coupled with the two years he spent in North Africa, have honed his skills and given him a knack for the ancillary talents required to make that long shot. If it's out there, he can see it, and if he can see it he can hit it. While he is certainly more than capable of handling a pistol, he is nowhere near as good as a dedicated pistolero.

Gets On With Everybody: Despite his fairly drab upbringing, Bill is a fairly glib individual. He finds himself liking most people, and most people find themselves liking what they hear, whether it's negotiating the price of street food, chatting up a woman at a cafe or decieving enemy personnel into letting him pass(or live).

Gimmie A Minute: His naturally laidd back demeanor compounded over his time in North Africa into a penchant for patience bordering on procrastination, casualty bordering on sloth and a level of patience that is borderline unprofessional. Bill is extremely patient, and cool under pressure largely by being almost unable to care that there /is/ any pressure to be under. He is not easily shaken.

Personal History

Bill Smith hails originally from a small town in southern Georgia, where he was raised by a lower midddle class family and eventually pursued a trade as a gunsmith for several years prior to leaving the country at the staart of the Arab Spring with the inclination that he "ought to help them fight for their own freedom…or something like that I guess". A competent long range shooter by hobby, Bill soon found himself on a plane for Malta, then a slow boat through the blockade to Libya, where he fought alongside anti-gadaffi forces, gradually learning Arabic and picking up a new name and a fascination with the culture he was immersed in along the way. As the conflict in Libya came to a close, Bill and several other fighters who weren't quite done yet made their way to Syria to attempt to assist them in their own struggle.

It was there he gained the attention of Foundation sleeper assets and was approached to procure his particular brand of skill. Overjoyed at the chance to work "a good cause" somewhere that actually had reliably working bathing facilities and wasn't an active warzone, he signed up and was flown out for orientation, training and his first duty station. An unremarkable(to him) first station as part of an ORIA interdiction team led him to be transferred to STF Alpha-354, "Poolboys".

Bill stands around 5'9, weighing in at around 160lbs, with brown hair and eyes, wearing glasses to correct his vision. He has a fondness for khakis and hats. He is notably gregarious, and generally fairly outgoing, and thuroughly enjoys "talking shop", as well as working on his or others' arms.

The first things he requisitioned after joining the Foundation were a shower, a hamburger and "a rifle that doesn't suck", in that order.

His longest kill is 963 yards.
He speaks fairly good Arabic, with a fairly neutral accent.
He knows just enough Italian to get him slapped
Bill can ride a horse
