Daniel Alden

Player Name

Daniel Alden

Expert Vehicle Mechanic/Tinker-er, Post Rehab

Brains and Brawns: Mental prowess and physical power come together with Daniel. While being perfectly capable of performing impressive feats of strength such as heavy lifting, keeping his grip on something, and breaking objects (Strength). He's also a very competent scholar, having earned his mechanical engineering degree. He's very knowledgeable about the inner workings of vehicles and knows how to take them apart and put them back together (Engineering).

The Mechanic: When dealing with mechanical devices, mathematics, and thinking in the third dimension is when Daniel is most at home. Unfortunately, that's where his specialties end. When dealing with any other type of academics not directly tied to mechanical engineering, he's especially unskilled.

Big Boned: Daniel is large; very large (Despite losing a fair amount of weight during rehab), and is more than capable of using his size to his advantage in hand-to-hand combat and feats of strength. However, his impressive size also makes it near impossible to move quickly enough to dodge blows, or even fit through small spaces.

A New Man: Rehab works wonders for a person who's got some problems in their head. In addition to learning how to perform better socially, it also had the side effect of giving him a particular clarity of mind. This will provide him a bonus to MDef vs. effects to change his point of view (Mind-altering effects), but give a penalty to MDef when it comes to resisting the urge to help someone.

Personal History

Daniel was born in rural Alabama. He grew up with his dad alone and never knew his own mom, causing him to take after his dad’s trade of being a mechanic at an early age. Daniel tinkered with engines, car parts, and other various mechanized objects by the age of eleven in his dad’s garage, and by the time he left his dad’s house, he was well on the road to becoming a professional mechanic.

When he turned eighteen, Daniel joined the U.S. Army as a vehicle pool mechanic and was enlisted for three years, during which time he designed a collection of advanced warfare vehicle schematics, all with brand new innovations that he invented himself. The Army ended up paying for him to go through an actual engineering school, where he got his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in general mathematics.

After the Foundation learned of Daniel’s designs, he was recruited and prototypes of the schematics were put under development with Daniel heading the project. A year after the production of his designs were completed, Daniel was assigned to Special Task Force Alpha-354 and moved out to Area-354 to put his mechanical expertise to work.

ADDENDUM: Daniel was moved to an off-site attitude and mental rehabilitation center for a year-long course. Due to quick progress, he finished the course about two months early and has been allowed to return to Area-354 at his own discretion. He's decided to return on the first helicopter over and see just how much things might've changed.

  • Daniel weighs in at 250 lbs (113kg) and stands 6’6’’ (198cm) tall, having lost about 35lbs over the course of his rehabilitation.
  • He has short-cropped dark brown hair, a clean shaven face, dark blue eyes, and a dragon tattoo the curls around his right bicep.
  • Can be found wearing a plain, well-worn, olive drab baseball cap at almost all times along with his normal outfit that usually consists of a plain single-color t-shirt and some variety of pants, usually blue jeans.
