Felix Rowan

Attuned Naturalist

I Will Do Science To It: Felix excels at data collection (getting video footage, recording vocalizations, obtaining a hair sample) in risky situations, but he tends to make science the first priority and is willing to put himself in danger to get the data.
Four-Armed Gorilla Whisperer: As a naturalist, Felix has achieved a solid grasp of the behavior of animals. He has a knack for reading their actions and body language for meaning and intent. This connection with the wilderness makes him reluctant to destroy the wild creatures he encounters, however. He will defend himself if threatened, but seeks to preserve the marvels of the strange worlds he explores.
Sneaky Sneaky: Decades of quietly approaching animals have given Felix a naturally quiet step. This gives him an unfortunate tendency remain in the background, however, and he struggles to draw attention to himself to prevent being overlooked.

Personal History

Felix had an unremarkable childhood, aside from spending much of his formative years exploring the forest near his home, where he learned to observe and study the creatures that lived there: birds, deer, and occasionally, mountain lions and wolves. His innate curiosity and insatiable desire for knowledge made it an easy choice to pursue a career studying the more dangerous inhabitants of the world, including polar bears in Russia and gorillas and elephants in the Congo. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Comparative Psychology, he found himself working for the Foundation as a field researcher, specializing in organisms in hostile environments.

Born May 4, 1979. Tall, but not imposing. Wiry frame. Dark hair, light skin.
Eager to learn, eager to please. A font of knowledge on arcane subjects. Uses this knowledge to seem confident, but secretly longs to be "part of the gang". Plays the banjo and has a pleasant singing voice, but is reluctant to perform in front of people. Usually seen wearing a necktie. He loves candy and often has a small stash of hard candy in his pocket, like toffee or peppermints.
