Gerard Illingworth

Player Name

Gerard Illingworth

A young caretaker / cataloger who attends to the anomalous SCPs in the facility as well at cataloging and testing any items that are brought back.

Say what now?: Being a Yorkshireman, when Gerard gets stressed he becomes completely unintelligible thanks to his heritage, since he makes an active effort to speak clearly around others.
Heart o' Gold: Gerard may act tough to the animals / people he cares for when they need it, but deep down he has their best interests at heart and would never do anything to willingly harm them.
Daring is my middle name: Gerard is a beefy guy, he can take some punishment, and he knows it. He's not wimpy when it comes to putting himself on the line for science or friends. Even he can bite off more than he can chew, though.

Personal History

Gerard grew up in the countryside of Yorkshire, growing up on his family's farm, he was always a natural caretaker, regularly forgoing typical kid activities to care for the numerous animals on the farm. at around the age of 16, he finally understood just how bad off the farm was and how close to bankruptcy the family was, he took it upon himself to organize the finances of the farm, accounting for massive losses in profit thanks to inaccurate reporting of the amount of stock. Under his guidance the farm prospered and when he turned 18 the farm was officially handed over to him. He had no desire to run the farm however, and instead left it to his twin sister, while he applied to colleges all across the country. He got accepted into the University of Leeds. He took on a massive amount of course work, using the farm's now profitable income to finance his way through two masters degrees, one in Veterinary Technology and the other in General Animal Care. Shortly after his graduation, he was approached by the Foundation scout at Leeds, who offered him a position at Red Pool as the sole caretaker and veterinarian for the facility, as well as 10 thousand dollars to purchase the equipment he would need for the job. He eagerly accepted, not really having his own plan for what he was going to do once he graduated. After a few days of gathering all of the equipment he needed and giving his goodbyes to his family, he set off on the flight to North America.

When he isn't agitated he sounds like he has a typical British accent, his true accent shows when he's unable to concentrate.

Well built from his hard work on the farm, 6'1"
