Scott Clayworth

Player Name

Scott Clayworth

Quiet, but sympathic researcher.

Know When to Fold 'Em: Scott was never one to recklessly pick fights, and he certainly has no qualms about walking away from a bad situation if it sounds like the reasonable thing to do. Once he's on the run, the medic can overcome his lack of conditioning and truly sprint; unfortunately, if said tactic fails and he is forced to fight anyways, the doctor probably won't do quite as well, being more likely to panic when faced with the impossibility of escape.

Just Give Me a Sec: Scott has spent much of his academic life working on research projects dedicated to multiple areas of expertise. Consequently, Dr. Clayworth understands how to perform experiments and analyze unknown phenomena better than some of his peers, being more likely to succeed when executing such tasks. The amount of attention he employs when doing so, however, makes him an easy target for the pranks of bitter co-workers, or the teeth of The Pool's latest abomination.

Knee-jerk Trigger Pull: Like most personnel assigned to high-risk duties, Scott has received basic training at firearms handling for self-defense, despite having no love for it. Unlike most people undergoing such drills, he never really got his head around the concept of ammo conservation. Occasionally, when forced to engage in combat, Scott might simply unload his weapon due to bottled up fear and/or anger, quickly depleting his reserves, but likely hitting more often, mostly due to the sheer amount of shots taken. Requires a fully loaded ranged weapon to be effective.

Personal History

Born in Gloucester, England, Scott eventually moved in order to attend the Natural Sciences Tripos at the University of Cambridge, where he dedicated himself to the study of Biomedical, Materials and Physical Sciences.

After struggling greatly, he would eventually come in contact with The Foundation after receiving his doctorate, several years later, while performing extensive research on new synthetic implants. Interested by the prospect of high payment and the access to cutting-edge equipment, Scott joined Site 37 as part of the research team, where he became acquainted with Foundation's protocols and underwent basic combat training.

After meeting what seemed like a dead end on his research, Dr. Clayworth was reassigned to Area 354 as part of a batch of reinforcements intended to accelerate the analysis of the anomalous materials constantly recovered during the exploration of SCP-354, besides providing emergency first aid when needed; The latter being quite worrisome for Scott, as his practical knowledge in the area is entirely derived from performing autopsies and preserved body parts.

  • 31 years old (26/01), around 6’0’’ tall, short and often messy black hair, brown eyes. He usually wears collared shirts and cotton pants, which are covered by a lab coat while on duty. Scott has an average and largely unremarkable muscular build.
  • His hobbies include reading (Fiction novels, mostly), wandering the facilities he’s currently assigned to, messing with his laptop and getting to know his coworkers. He also has an eclectic taste in music, but usually listens to 90's rock bands, despite being somewhat embarrassed about it.
  • Mostly due to lack of practice, severely mispronounces several words when speaking in Latin.
